Hiiii so I am finally getting my ass down to write about my 5th Penang trip
I have been doing a lot of stupid things of late, so I am thinking maybe today I will just relax and be idle
Ok so it was me who suggested and asked them if they wanted to go on a trip to Penang, mostly because I was tired during my internship, and was longing for a food trip
However it got delayed until late April because I forgot why, but whatever happened happened la !
Basically I guess this blog will be a plain narration of whatever we did with picture attached la
Picking up those guys in the morning, slightly later than planned because my father was quite enthusiastic in teaching me how to change car tyre
We departed after having breakfast in Thong Khee
Seriously a long distance drive doesn't feel that long when I am the driver, rather than the passenger
We opted for the ferry because I never tried it before despite I had already had 4 Penang trips prior to this
Wrong choice for the girls, because it made their hair super messy and oily (Sea wind does that apparently) ?? XDD
Honestly I don't remember what we did too much, I think we went for food first thing in Joo Hooi cafe, I remember vividly I had only been to that cafe once, and it had been during my first Penang trip with Sherine them
So, a nice way to start our trip with super tasty laksa and cendol !
We went to visit the Ghost Museum afterward, my third time visiting and they had changed and added some sections (a zombie section)
I don't know why I was scared even though I had been there few times already lol
Basically because I was scared, we were all fxcking sacring ourselves all the way (face palm)
But hey, at least this BOSS get to take picture with Japan hot chick :)
I think we just checked in our hotel, and went for early dinner in a super expensive but fxcking tasty char keow teow ! 我记住你了!!
Anyway it was my mistake as I misjudged the time of sunset, so we arrived in the Tai Pak Gong temple freaking early, but then we also managed to take a lot of insta worthy pictures la so forgive me guys !
But we didn't manage to get the purple-ish sky backdrop that I saw when I went with Wen Ling they all, I think it was because of the cloud this time
So this time I got a clear sky as a backdrop instead, but dang it looks awesome
They went to the secret garden avatar for some sightseeing, then we were out of there
I think we went for more food afterward, but I honestly could not remember the specific dang it !
Okay we dabao cakes from the China cake house to eat back in hotel, that I can recall because those cakes were awesome
I also recalled I slept pretty soon after I lied on the bed, so much for night time activities, pardon this old man >.<

The second day we planned to had toast in Toh Chun as breakfast, but then the shop was close on Sunday, so we went for *fxck man I forgot what we had for breakfast*
But I just recalled we went to the 姓氏桥 for some tourist sightseeing, and surprisingly got a few dang awesome instaworthy pictures as well
I am really struggling to recall what we had for breakfast and lunch haha
*Okay I just remember we went for a freaking nice Chee Cheong Fun, the sauce was thick and aromatic because it contains 虾糕!*
I do remember we aborted our Penang hill plan in the afternoon because the line was freaking long
So I think we decided to chillax at some cafe instead
I wanted to go "corgi and the gang" again, because I remembered it served freaking delicious waffle !
But then Sook Leng was not too fond of dogs, so we went to another which I forgot where but doesn't matter because it didn't open (you know how many fxcking place we went didn't open ?)
BUT, we found a cafe to chill anyway, and we got to play some games, at least me and Yi Chen did, I think that 2 girls was busy editing insta picture or something (live at the moment xia leh)
Well I bet no one dare to post this one !
*OKAY Sook Leng just told me we went to Nasi Kandar Deen for lunch that day haha, actually I just had Nasi Kandar for lunch too just now, dang it was so nice T.T, nice when you get to dabao and eat in the comfort of your room, coupled with a chilling sweet teh ice omfg*
We headed back hotel to have some rest and washup before heading out Chulan street for dinner
Another char keow teow but were not as good as the one previously, the uncle had a very happy look though and they said "第一次看人炒果条那么开心" XD
Headed to Penang Hill, no queue was in sight, therefore decided to take the cable car up for some city night view, BIG.FXCKING.MISTAKE T.T
When the cable car arrived the top of the hill, we were greeted by sight of a freaking scary long queue of people waiting to go down the hill
Just the thought of queueing so long to go back down killed the mood for me :(
But we might as well enjoy whatever it offered since we were already there, basically just walked around, enjoy the night wind and chillax in the playground
After we went down, we went hunting for Keow Teow Tang as supper
I found one that was recommended by a food blog I used as a guide a lot
Sook Leng said the Keow Teow Tang was too salty I think ? As for me whatever that is not terrible, then it is good !
I then dabao Char Keow Teow from a stall beside it, turns out it was the shop I went during my first Penang trip, I recognize because it offered Char Keow Teow with Mantis Prawn(虾蛄) !
Well it certainly was a freaking blast from the past, 3 years since the trip and I am already not really on talking term with some of them already due to personal reason
That night I slept a bit later
I kinda regretted I did not spend the night talking with them more, rather I just eat my char keow teow while reading some charts and preparing for my job interview lol
Basically that was the whole trip la, I think we did not manage to do a lot but then there was not too much to do also, unless you want to keep hitting the famous food spot haha
The third day was so freaking simple, and I felt guilty for wasting a bit of their time
Because Toh Chun cafe was not open again, apparently the boss decided to take the day off, so I suggested we went to a cafe in Bayan Lepas that served toast as well, mana tahu when we arriveed it did not open as well lol !
So instead we went to a Dim Sum in Georgetown, that was like 1 hour wasted, sorry guys T.T
After that we killed some time, taking tourist pictures at some famous murals
Then we went for lunch in Ah Leng Char Keow Teow finally (kept saying it was Sook Leng shop haha)
Funny thing was, I thought I had a lot of time, because I scheduled my job interview at 2 I think, then I only realized I might be late when Yi Chen told me it was already 1 20 and our CKT still had not been served !
Afterward, It was a freaking frenzy of changing in the car and arriving ngam ngam at 2.
I think I am going to talk about whatever job interview I had in Penang in some other posts
Anyway it took way longer than I expected, so I left the interview place around 4 something, so it was already time to go home (sign~~, I really expected we had more time for food and some chilling after the interview)
I think we just went to a super fancy looking McD for toilet and some quick bites before driving home.
In conclusion, thanks for coming with me guys, eventhough there is really not much to do in Penang XDD
Somehow I feel like maybe you go because I asked, not fully because you wanna go Penang :P maybe I think too much dik
But ya maybe next time go somewhere cooler, Malaysia is indeed freaking hot >.<
