My reading style

The title of this post initially was " The Undomestic Goddes", which is one of the book I have read in last month

But using the book name as my title will cause random people to chance upon my blog as they google the book name ( I say this from experience :3

So most people cannot tell, but I love reading novel

I used to read super a lot, sort of picked up this hobby when I was trying to improve my English in a regrettably English-free environment 

By reading I feel like I live another life

So what I usually do is this, and is actually kind of fun for me

I buy a lot of books in a bookfair or any bargain sales

Then I will leave the books on the shelves for few days to as long as few years

When I feel like it, I will pick up a book and finish it in a day to a week, depends on its volume

So this makes me feel like having a reservation of entertainment on my shelf just to be unfolded anytime I please

The book I am reading now, "Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter" has sit idly on the shelf for years

So this post is supposed to be a short review on Sophie Kinsella"s "The Undomestic Goddess"

It was a books lent by Li Yin to me, we went to bookfair this year and she bought this book, in the meantime recommended the author to me

I rarely deter from a love story as long as the story is well  told, but according to Li Yin after she read this book, it is not as good as her expectation as some others she had read from the same author are better

I try to keep the summary very short

The book tells a story of a top lawyer finding herself in a "strange situation" when she escaped from her firm out of embarrassment of making a million dollar mistake

The "strange situation" is that she is mistaken as a domestic helper and is then working under a couple in the countryside.

She also started dating the gardener, and I remember they make love on their second date

When they discover she is one of the top lawyer, they are awestruck

My review

The sex scene in the garden makes me feel like this is realllllly a book for girls to have their fantasies fulfilled 

It is kinda funny and relaxing, it is not a masterpiece, but consider it like watching a comedy movie

I had good laugh especially after they discovered her real identity

At least now that I finished reading, I can talk to Li Yin about it next time
